Guided fly fishing Tasmania

Heading to Tasmania’s Central Highlands for a two day guided fly fishing Tasmania trip, with new client Drew, on an inclement cold and windy summers day we hoped the trout would still be searching for mayfly and beetles, given the favourable time of year.

In windy and overcast conditions we searched for trout showing in the waves and wind lanes, and soon, Drew had connected to, and landed a superb wild brown trout that took an emerging highland dun pattern without hesitation. A few more opportunities presented as the day went on, with a string of bad luck preventing another fish hitting the net.

Day two showed more promising conditions, however the previous day of rough weather had made some waters discoloured and ultimately unfishable. Heading to a clearer lagoon allowed for some great sight fishing to trout cruising the flats.

Drew said about his tour – “Amazing experience, great guide, knowledgeable, beautiful scenery, ultimate fly fishing experience, highly recommend“.

Regardless of weather conditions, Tasmania offers unlimited opportunities to experience fly fishing at its best. Call us today and experience the best of guided fly fishing Tasmania.

Aw, this was an exceptionally nice post. Finding the time and actual effort to produce a
superb article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole lot and never
    manage to get anything done.
