Trout Tales Tasmania are excited to help commemorate 200 years of the Bothwell township and the tradition of trout fly fishing in the region.
We are thrilled to be a part of the Bothwell Bicentennial Festival and hope to honour the tradition of trout fishing in the area with fly fishing demonstrations and fully guided fly fishing trips.
These activities will be held on Sunday the 16th October at the festival and are sure to provide a fantastic insight into trout fly fishing in the Central Highlands area.

Fly Fishing Demonstrations in Bothwell
We will also be holding multiple "introduction to fly fishing" sessions at the festival throughout the day.
The sessions will run for approximately 90 minutes and cover all aspects of fly fishing including the gear we use, how to cast, fly selection and some of the different techniques we use.
There will also be the chance to ask one of our experienced guides any questions that you may have about trout fly fishing in Tasmania.
Head to the Bothwell Bi-Centenary Festival Website for more information on session times, or get in touch with Trout Tales if you have any questions in the meantime.
